Information re Local Support for Port St Mary Residents

We are so fortunate that Port St Mary is a ‘proper village community’ and noteworthy at this time for having many, many more people volunteering to help than there are folk needing help. If you’d like some local neighbourly support, or you’d like to offer support, please read on:

Southern Befrienders southernbefrienders.im  / 833025 have an excellent 4 page document covering many aspects of information regarding Coronavirus/COVID-19. Please click on the link to read it: SB Corona-Virus-Information-Sheet

The primary aim of Southern Befrienders is to support older people who feel lonely or isolated, by providing regular one-to-one companionship by dedicated volunteer befrienders as well as hosting weekly social groups.  Never have they been more appreciated!

PSM Village Support This group was inspired by Southern Befrienders but they are offering their services to any one of any age in the village who needs a helping hand, a friendly voice or some shopping. Give them a call on 274507. This leaflet was delivered to over 900 dwellings in Port St Mary, but in case you have mislaid your leaflet please click on the link to read it:  PSM Village Support

Living Hope Church volunteers are offering help, both practically and spiritually, and can be contacted on 493500 or info@livinghope.im

Spirit of Rushen is a community group offering support with shopping, dog walking, etc. Telephone Mark on 466692 or check out their facebook page.

And finally, of course, you’re always welcome to contact commissioners@portstmary.gov.im
